Anchor Children with Elderly (ACE) Community Programs

Institutional: Must be a registered Kindergarten, Primary School, or Elderly Residential Care Home (RCHE). Partnership Requirement: Must be willing to enter a "Twin-Institution" partnership (one school paired with one elderly home). Location: High priority is given to organizations located in the same district to facilitate recurring, face-to-face visits.

1. Institutional Eligibility Entity Type: Open primarily to Kindergartens, Primary Schools, and Elderly Residential Care Homes (RCHEs). Geographic Proximity: A core condition is that the partnering school and elderly home should be located within the same district (or close proximity) to foster long-term, sustainable neighborhood bonds. Curriculum Alignment: Partners must agree to integrate the foundation’s proprietary "iGen" (intergenerational) curriculum, which focuses on visual arts, music, movement, or horticulture. 2. Operational Participation Requirements The "ACE Academy" Model: Partners cannot treat this as a one-off volunteering event. They must commit to a regular series of interactions (often weekly or monthly) throughout the academic year. Pairing Ratio: To ensure meaningful depth, interactions are structured with a high ratio, typically one elder paired with 1–2 students. Mandatory Evaluation & Data: As a condition of the funding they receive (from sources like the SIE Fund or Operation Santa Claus), the foundation requires all participants (elders, youth, and teachers) to complete pre- and post-program evaluations to measure impact on empathy and social isolation. 3. Material Usage & Deliverables Learning Tools: Participants must use the foundation's official tools, such as the "Pass it On" booklet and ACE Books, which are designed to facilitate structured intergenerational dialogue. Outcome Exhibits: Partners are often required to participate in community showcases, such as art exhibitions or intergenerational graduation ceremonies, to celebrate the relationship-building outcomes.
