基金由鍾志平博士創立。鍾博士在年青的時候，因為家庭環境的關係，未完成中四課程已開始在社會工作謀生以幫補家計。工作讓他深深體會到「書到用時方恨少」的道理，所以一直不斷進修以自我增值。過往的經歷令鍾博士明白到終身學習的重要性，因為只有把自己裝備好，才能保持競爭力，好好迎接及把握機遇。他成立鵬程慈善基金，就是要支持不同地區的教育發展工作。基金除了資助積極學習的學生外，亦分別向學業成績和全人發展方面表現優異的學生頒發獎學金頒發予以鼓勵。 成立目的 - 提升本地的教育質素 - 促進及支持不同形式的教育發展 - 支持及支援本地社會福利服務 - 協助有各樣困難的青少年在本地及海外學習 The fund was established by Dr. Roy Chung. In his youth, due to family circumstances, Dr. Chung had to leave school after completing Form 4 and began working to support his family. Through work, he deeply realized the truth of the saying, “When you need to use what you’ve learned, you regret not having learned more.” This drove him to continuously pursue further education for self-improvement. His past experiences made Dr. Chung understand the importance of lifelong learning, as only by equipping oneself well can one maintain competitiveness and be ready to seize opportunities. He established the Pangea Charity Fund to support educational development in various regions. In addition to providing financial assistance to motivated students, the fund also awards scholarships to students who excel in academic performance and holistic development. Objectives of the Fund: 1.To enhance the quality of local education 2.To promote and support diverse forms of educational development 3.To support and assist local social welfare services 4.To help young people facing various difficulties in pursuing education locally and overseas
