Design Trust

Upon completion of the project, all grantees are required to submit a comprehensive Final Report that details the outcomes, findings, and the overall impact of the work on the design community. This narrative report is usually accompanied by high-resolution visual documentation—such as photographs, videos, or design prototypes—which the Trust may use for public archives or social media to promote the project's success. For research-based grants and fellowships, there is a strong emphasis on Public Dissemination. Grantees are often mandated to conduct at least one public sharing session, which could take the form of a lecture, workshop, or exhibition, to ensure the findings are accessible to the wider public and professional design circles. From a financial perspective, a Detailed Financial Statement must be submitted, which includes an itemized breakdown of how the grant funds were utilized. Grantees must retain and provide copies of all original invoices and receipts for expenses exceeding a certain threshold. For larger Feature Grants, the Trust may require the accounts to be formally certified. Final payment installments are typically withheld until all narrative and financial reports have been reviewed and approved by the board, ensuring the project has met the specific milestones outlined in the initial grant agreement.
