The Au Bak Ling Charity Trust (ABLCT), also known as ACT, is a Section 88 charitable institution founded by the late Mr. Au Bak-ling, a prominent educational publisher. The Rice-Giving Scheme, launched in 2009/10, is the trust’s flagship poverty relief program. It operates in collaboration with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) to distribute monthly or bi-monthly rice packs to low-income families and elderly residents. The scheme is designed not just for food security, but to engage youth volunteers in community service.
